(Stroudsburg, Pa.) 1853-1911: August 01, 1872 At Fennersville, July 26th, 1872, Katie, daughter of Charles and Ann Kistler, of Hamilton township, Monroe Co., Pa., aged 9 years, 11 months and 17 days. Her death was caused by tramping on a nail on Sunday morning, the 21st inst., which broke off in the foot...Everything was done that medical and surgical aid could do to relieve her sufferings, but without avail. The funeral took place last Sunday morning, and was followed by a large concourse of relatives, friends and neighbors. The Tannersville Sunday School, of which she was a member, followed in procession from her parent's residence to the Hamilton church. The services were conducted by the Revs. Focht and Dechant. After the services in the church were over, she was brought to Stroudsburg and interred here in the Union Cemetery.
