[East Stroudsburg Matters of Interest] Stroudsburg Times, Pub date: Thursday, April 17, 1890 Warner - "Death of Mrs. Elmer Warner. Mrs. Hattie Warner, wife of Elmer Warner, died at her residence in Tannersville, on Saturday morning last, Mrs. Warner was the daughter of David Learn, an old resident of Tannersville. She was in the prime of life and a very popular lady, having a large circle of friends. She was a member of the Lutheran Church. Funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church on Wednesday which were largely attended, conducted by Rev. Clare and Smith. Interment in the Tannersville Cemetery. Her husband and children have the sympathy of the entire community in which they live, in this their sad bereavement." Stroudsburg Times, Pub date: Thursday, April 17, 1890 Ruster - "Mr. Jacob Ruster, who had been sick for some months, died on Sunday morning last. Mr. Ruster was a son of Jacob Ruster, of Smithfield township, in the prime of life, and much respected by all who knew him. He leaves a father, mother, eight brothers, one sister and a wife to mourn his loss. The funeral services were held in the Methodist Church on Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Chambers, assisted by Rev. Wood. Interment in Stroudsburg cemetery." Stroudsburg Times, Pub date: Thursday, May 29, 1890 Depue - "Obituary. - Emma, wife of Alvin Depue, a highly esteemed neighbor and friend, departed this life on Wednesday, May 21st, having attained an age of 35 years, 10 months and 1 day. She had been a great sufferer for nearly a year from consumption, and al though all possible effort was put forth to restore her health, all was in vain. A husband, one son and three daughters especially mourn her loss. The funeral took place on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Del. Water Gap M. E. Church. Revs. Custard and Mason officiated.
