Jeffersonian Republican. (Stroudsburg, Pa.) 1853-1911: January 09, 1873
In Paradise Township, Monroe County, on Wednesday evening, December 18, after a long
and painful illness, which she bore with Christian resignation and fortitude, Mrs.
Isabella Wilson, wife of James Wilson, Esq., died in the 64th year of her age. The
deceased was a most estimable Christian lady, having embraced religion about twenty
years ago, at which time she united with the M. E. Church, of which she continued a
faithful, consistent member until God saw fit to call her to her eternal home... The
funeral services took place at the M. E. Church in Paradise on Sunday morning, the
22d ult., and were conducted by the Rev. J. Pastorfield, of Spragueville.
