Leaf (Esther Ann) died this morning. She was not well since Christmas - stroke proves fatal. From the effects of an apopletic stroke on last Friday, a week, Mrs. Esther Ann Leaf, widow of Henry P Leaf, passed away in death at 8AM today, at the family residence, No 171 N Hanover St. She reached the age of 75 years and six months. Mrs. Leaf was one of the best known older residents. Until Christmas, she enjoyed quite good health after recovering from a slight stroke seven years ago. Since Christmas, she was not well, but her condition was not serious until 10 days ago, when she suffered another stroke. Her maiden name was WEBER, and she was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of William H. and Ann Bean Weber of Lewistown. Her husband was the late Henry P. Leaf, died in 11/1912, the day following election day. The surviving children are: William Leaf of Melrose Park; Sarah L., wife of Jacob S. Gabel, and Leonard Leaf, both of Pottstown. Mrs. Leaf was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church. The funeral arrangements have not been made. Additional Comments: Esther Ann LEAF and her husband Henry Potts LEAF are buried in Edgewood Cemetery, Pottsgrove.
