We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________ The 1822 will of Michael Scholl of Upper Salford Twp in Montgomery County, PA (with spellings as they appear in the original): "In the Name of God Amen, I Michael Scholl of upper salford Township in the County of Montgomery and state of Pennsylvania, yeoman, being advanced in years But of Sound Mind and Memory (thanks be to God) Do this Nineteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty and Two, make and publish this my last Will and Testament in the following manner that is to say Imprimis I commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Creator, and my Body to the Erth to be in a decent and Christian like manner Buried, In hope of a joyful resurrection thro the merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ, And as for the Temporal Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me, I dispose thereof as follows (that is to say) First I order my Just debts and funeral Expenses to be paid out of my Personal Estate. Item, it is my will and do hereby order my Executors herein after named to Sell my real and Personal property as soon as conveniently may be after my Decease, by publick auction, and the money arising by the Sale thereof, as also all monies which are due or become due to me on Bonds, Nots or otherwise (Except) the money which are due or becoming due to me on Bonds, Nots or otherwise from Jacob Sechler now amounting to five hundred and fifty two Pounds fifteen Shillings and Nine Pence...which said Sum of five hundred and fifty two Pounds fifteen Shillings and Nine Pence Item I give and bequit to my grandchildern the childern of my Daughter Maria the wife of Jacob Sechler, Share and Share alike (but herein after namet Executors Shall not make any colection of the said monys) But it is my will that the Shall assign over all Bonds Nots and other acounts to Michael the Son of my dader Maria - the wiff of Jacob Sechler in trust for the other childern of my said Daughter Maria -- as to all the other moneys arising By the Sale of my Real and personal property as allso the monies which are due or become due to me on Bonds Nots or other wise (Except here in Before Excepted) Shall be equally divided to and between my sons Peter, Abraham, Jacob and my Daughter Elizabeth the wiff of Samuel Moyer Share and Share alike and one equal divided fift Shear Shall be Equally divided to and among my grantchildern the childern of my son John Sholl deceased, Shear and Shear alike ------- And lastly I do hereby Nominate and appoint my Son Jacob Sholl and my Son in law Samuel Moiyer Executors of this my last Will and Testament giving and granting them or the Survivors of them full Power and authority to Execute Deeds and Releases in my name and Stead and I allow them reasonable charges for there Trouble but no more. In witness whereof I the said Michael Sholl have to this my last Will and Testament set my Hand and Seal Dated the Day and year first above written. Signed Sealed published and declared by the Said Testator to be his last will and Testament in the presence of us Abraham (Young?) aff'd Philip (?) F Scholl (?) aff'd Montgomery County Personally appeared the witnesses to the foregoing will and being duly affirmed according to Law did on their solemn affirmation respectively say that they saw and heard Michael Sholl the Testator therein named sign and seal and publish and declare the same will for and as his last will and Testament and at the doing of it he was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief affirmed September 23rd 1825.
