Through the efforts of Rev. Hiram Kuder, a Sunday School was again organized with P. N. Remmel and Frank Roethline, Superintendents, and E. J. Bernhardt, Acting Superintendent. It met like the previous Sunday School, in the public school building. Its first session was held on August 30, 1896. The name adopted was Grace Union Protestant Sunday School- Upon the completion of the basement of the church the school occupied it. The Sunday School continued union until February 5, 1903, when a committee of two from Trinity Lutheran Sunday School met with a similar committee from Grace school in the basement and divided the property of the school. With this meeting Grace Union Protestant Sunday School of Northampton passed into history. GRACE REFORMED SUNDAY SCHOOL. The Sunday School which met in the basement on February 25, 1903. adopted a new constitution, which made it an integral part of the congregation, and changed the name to The Sunday School Association of Grace Reformed Congregation. W. J. Lerch, who had been elected superintendent for 1903, continued to serve until January 1, 1905, when Wilson J. Troxell became his successor. Mr. Troxell was superintendent for a period of seven and one-half years. Upon his resigning his brother, Claude J. Troxell, the present incumbent, was chosen. In 1911 there was organized a Base Ball League of the Sunday Schools of the Borough of Northampton, in which the team representing Grace Sunday School won the pennant for both the years of 1911 and 1912. The standing of the teams was as follows: - 1911. Won Lost Percentage Grace 5 2 .714 Zions 4 3 .571 St. Paul's 2 6 .250 1912.
