All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/berks/ _______________________________________________ Will of John Bonn Northampton Co., PA Wills Book 3, pages 86/7 (LDS #946,457) In the Name of God Amen I John Bonn of Bethlehem in the County of Northampton and state of Pennsylvania, Gent. being of good bodily Health and of sound and perfect mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of this mortal Life Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and Form following. That is to say, First, I do hereby appoint my beloved Friends George Golkowsky and Mathew Wedge the Executors of this my last Will & Testament. Secondly, I give and bequeath unto my beloved Friend Andrew Busse and his Wife Christina the Interest of Two hundred Pounds, to be paid them during their natural Lifes and unto the survivor of them, during his or her natural Life and after his and her Decease the Principal sum of the Two hundred Pounds to be equally divided between the Children by them begotten, then living. Further, I give and bequeath unto H. A. Sweinetz, Pro tem Treas. of the Society for the furtherance of the Gospel among the Heathen and unto his successor in the said Office for the use of said Society the sum of Sixty Pounds Pennsylvania Currency. Further I give and bequeath to my Nephew Jacob Bonn son of my Brother Jacob Bonn late of Salem in North Carolina the sum of Fifty Pounds Pennsylvania Curry. Further I give unto Samuel Ruchel my God Child the sum of Twenty Pounds Penna. Curry. Further I give unto Charles Anton V. Vleck son of Jacob V. Vleck the sum of One hundred Pounds and in case of his Decease before his attaining the age of Twenty One Years the same to go to Jacob V. Vleck the Father. Further I give unto David Busse my Bed & Bedding and all thereunto belonging, also all my Linnen and my Watch my wearing apparell I direct shall be divided among the poor Brethren in the Brethrens House at Bethlehem at the Discretion of my Executors hereafter named and lastly, as to all Rest, Residue and Remainder of my Property of what Kind soever, I give and bequeath the same unto the Brethrens House Deoconia in Bethlehem and I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Thirty first Day of October in the Year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and Ninety Five 1795. Golkowsky and Mathias Wedge who first affirmed &c Northampton County ss On the twentieth day of January in the Year of Our Lord 1797 Before me John Arndt Register for the Probate of Wills &c in & for said County personally came Frantz Thomas and Samuel Smith two of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing last Will and Testament of John Bonn deceased who on their solemn affirmation according to Law did respectively affirm declare & say that they were present and did see and hear John Bonn the said Testator sign and publish and declare the same as & for his Last Will and Testament and that at the doing thereof he the said Testator was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and Belief And also that they these affirmants together with Joseph Horsefield subscribed their respective names as witnesses to the same in the presence and at the request of the said Testator and in the presence of each other.
