THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF RUDOLPH LARASH IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN I, Rudolph Larash from the community of Magungy (Macungie) Township, Northampton (now Lehigh) County, Pennsylvania, find myself presently in poor health, but grateful to God for the blessing of a healthy life. It is a law of God that all men must die and because God, the almighty father told me to put my affairs in order because I will soon die, I hereby declare the following my last will and testament. First of all, I order my immortal soul into the hands of the almighty God, that he has given me, and my mortal body, which has come from the earth to be given an appropriate burial with Christian ordinances, and what my earthly possessions entail I bequeath as follows: First, it is my will and testament to bequeath a piece of land to my two sons Peter and Heinrich. The land is approximately 57 acres and 83 rods. It is located in the community of Magungy and borders Jacob Bortz's and Valentin Keiser's land. I give this land, including the buildings and other accessories to my two sons and they may pass it on to their heirs as they please, but they must pay my 300 pounds to my daughters. Second, I bequeath two parcels of land in the town of Millerstown (now the Boro of Macungie), including houses and accessories to my sons Isaac and Joseph Larash. They are lot numbers 4 and 5. One part of the parcel which is 40 rutens by 4 rutens and 6 acres is bordered by Jacob Bortz and Johann Keiser. They will have to decide who will get parcel number 4 and who will get parcel number 5 and the houses which are on the parcels. Isaac and Joseph will have to pay 200 pounds to my daughters as will be explained later. Third, I bequeath the land I bought from Philipp Wesgo to my sons Ludwig and Robert Larash. This land should be divided into two equal pieces and Ludwig should get the piece at the street which leads to Millerstown (now Macungie). It should remain one rod wide for a path to be left on the side next to Jacob Vonboskerks (Van Buskirk). As soon as Ludwig turns 21, he has the right to work on his land like how he sees fit. But, if I die before this land is completely paid, it should be rented out until it is free of debt. Fourth, it is my will and testament that the money which my sons will pay to my daughters shall be given to them at certain times. Peter and Heinrich will pay 100 pounds to my daughter Elizabeth, who is married to Michael Breith (Breisch), whenever she needs it. They will pay my daughter Susanna 100 pounds when she reaches the age of 21. They will also pay my daughter Sally 100 pounds when she reaches the age of 21. My sons Isaac and Joseph should pay the 200 pounds as follows: 100 pounds to my daughter Margret as soon as she reaches the age of 21, and 100 pounds to my daughter Lidia as soon as she reaches the age of 21. Finally, I give to my son Isaac Larash and to Jacob Bar from the township of Upper Milford, Northampton (now Lehigh) County the responsibility to carry out my last will and testament. They have the right to transfer the deeds to my sons. And I declare this my last will and testament. And I herewith declare all my previous wills invalid. In front of witnesses I have written this with my own hand and with my own seal. The 11th day of January, the one thousand eight hundred and sixth day of our Lord.
