I John Nicholas Seger in Whitehall Township County of Northampton and
province of Pennsylvania, by the Blessing of the Almighty God Living
to a good Age and now growing weak by the Reason of my Age, so I
Recommand first of all my Soul into the hand of my Deaer Saviour
Jesus Christ and to prevent further strive and Controversis which
might arise after my Decease Between My heirs, as yet by good health
perfect mind and Memory, so I ordain this my Last Will and Testament,
in the presence of the witnesses Subscribed in Manner and form
following

First I order Set and Give unto my Two Sons Named Samuel Seger and
Christian Seger Their heirs, Executors and Administrators for Ever,
my plantation Containing Two Hundred and Ninety Acres of Land, with
al the privileges and Right as the same is a .... South Side
....(tape marks)...the Condition That my said Two Sons Samuel Seger
and Christian Seger shall and must pay all the money which is Due
unto the Honourable the proprietaries for the said land.  So then I
ordain and set that my above mentioned Two Sons Samuel Seger and
Christian Seger shall pay unto my  other Living Eight children for
the said plantation Two hundred and Forty pounds Current and Lawful
money of pennsylvania, which money shall be paid in Manner and form
following Namely one year after my youngest son John Seger will be of
Age, which will be the 27th Day of November 1765, first unto my Eldest
Taughter Anna Mary Shnyder Thirty pounds the 27th Day of November
1766,  then unto my Daughter Anna Barber Traxler Thirty pounds the
27th Day of November 1767, to Christina Barber Thirty pounds the 27th
Day of November 1768, to Mary Margareth Seger Thirty pounds the 27th
Day of November 1769, to my son John Nicholas Seger Thirty pounds the
27th Day of November 1770, to my son John Jacob Seger Thirty pounds
the 27th Day of November 1771, unto my Daughter Anna Elisabeth Thirty
pounds, and unto my youngest son John Seger the 27th Day of November
1771 Thirty pounds,

My Two mentioned sons Samuel and Christian Seger shall pay the above
mentioned sums unto their aforesaid Brethern and Sisters upon the
above said Terms without any fail,

Further my Two said sons Samuel and Christian Seger shall be obliged
and Bound ... Day of ...of grou... (tape marks) ... is to say Twenty
Bushell of wheat and Ten Bushell of Rie all in clean and marchanable
grain, and to holl said grain in the mill, and the Meal in the house
again, and I Nichs Seger Excepted that I shall have Liberty to Live
in the Dwelling house where I Dwells now so long as I Live, and usage
in the kitchen so much as I have cation for it, further one Third part
in the Spring or Milk house, one fourth part in the Garden, and the
sixth part of Aples in the Orched yearly 20 pounds of Heckeld flax,
besids 30 pounds of Tow, and yearly Two hundred pounds of Hawks meat
one Hundred Cabidge, Turnops as much he has cation for, all the above
mentioned shall be Delivered to me yearly as long as I Live, further
Samuel and Christian Seger shall Deliver to me yearly in  the Spring
Time Two milk cow, and  ... them in the fall Time that? again.

The afore Mentioned 290 Acres of Land shall be Equally Divided
between Samuel and Christian Seger each to the half, Christian Seger
shall have his half or portion where I now Dwell, and all the
Buildings thereon, Except what is Excepted for my usage, But hereby
Christian Seger shall be Bound to Assist Samuel Seger to Build a son
house 27 feet Bredth and 37 feet Long, the wall shall be 11 feet
high, and shall pay the half of all the costs of said Building, till
it is finished, that is to say for all work and costs, Like wise
Christian Seger shall be obliged to Assist and help to Build a ston
Barron for the said Samuel Seger and pay the half of all Costs and
work.  The Barron shall be Built in Bredth 28 feet Length 40 feet the
walls shall b 15 feet.  Further Samuel and Christian Seger shall be
obliged and Bound, to give and Deliver unto Maria Margaretha ...Anna
Elisabetha Seger...  each a Mare ... as Soon ... are Married, and an
Acre of wheat and an Acre of Rie to each,

hereby I Nicholas Seger ha... ..pressly Except and well observed,
That is one or the ..l. of the above said child of my children should
by the hand of God be Taken out of this world, without Heirs of their
Bodies then their portion is to be Equally Divided among the
remainder of my children Equally ... afore said, further while all
the fouls remain upon the place so John Nichs Seger is to have the
third part of all the increase of the said fouls,

This my Last Will and Testament, stands fast, and not be Broke, and
shall be kept ... have i put my hand and Seal in the presence of the
undersigned witnesses, the 22 Day of October in the year Anno Domini
1753
