              Will of Michael Sebastian, 1780

For the name of God Amen.  I Michael Sebastian of Allen Township in
the County of Northampton, State of Pennsylvania, yeoman, being
advanced in years and sometimes visited with Bodily infi?mitis, which
reminds me of my Mortality, have thought fit to Settle my worldly
Affairs whilst my memory and understanding is Sound and good and to
make my Last will and Testament of and Concerning My Temporal Estate
in wherewith it has pleased God to bless my honest Endeavors in Manor
following, that is to Say,

First I Commit my Soul unto the hand of God my Most Merciful Savior
who Crated and redeemed it and my Body to the Earth to be Decently
interred at the Direction of my Executor hereafter named and ___ of a
Blessed and ___ Resurrection at the Last Day ___ the m___ of my
gracious Savior Jesus Christ.  And it is my will that all my just
Debts and funeral Expenses be Duly paid and I Do give and Devise and
bequeath unto my well beloved Son in Law Conrad Kreider (Married to
my only Daughter Regina by Name) all that my Messuage or Tenement and
tract of Land thereunto belonging or in anywise Appertaining Situate
in the township of Frederick, County of Philadelphia, State of
Pennsylvania, adjoining land  of Henry Boyer, __ Kistard?, Mordin
Kuhle, Mathais Geist, and others (it being part of a five hundred
Acre tract and grist mill thereon which said mill and about three
hundred acres of Land was Sold by me Several years ago and now in the
Possession of the above named Henry Boyer as it will further Appear
containing about two hundred acres of Land be the Same more or Less
or the residue of the five hundred acre tract not Sol by Me) to hold
to him my said Son in Law Conrad Kreider, his heirs and assigns for
Ever.

The Deed of the said tract of land and Appurtenance is Now in the
Possession of my well beloved Son George Michael to Keep him for a
while, for one he being already paid in ready money by me so much as
by right his the an ? of my Estate would allow some years ago.  and
it is my will and I order that my Son George Michael shall Deliver
unto my Son in Law Conrad Kreider the above said Deed (or Patent)
undefaced and in Such Condition as he was the time when he got him,
within three months after my Decease, free and without any Cart?
Charge or Claim on behalf of him or his heirs to the said Premises,
and on Default of the Delivering, the Said Deed unto him, my Son in
Law Conrad Kreider by him the Said George Michael by the time _____
tract if _____ Requires Recovery ______ Evidence___

Moreover I give and bequeath unto my Grand Child Elisabeth, my Bead?

 ?__ and Everything thereunto belonging, and in for and concerning
all the Rest and Residue of my Good Clothes, Effect, and estate
whatsoever and whereforever I Do hereby Give, Devise, and Bequeath
unto my said Son in Law Conrad Kreider as well as the Land above
mentioned, for reasons well worth To De___ce my notice? being very
well satisfied with  the good __sage and treatment which I would of
him my Son in Law Conrad all the time I have Lived with him, that is
to say Seven years with my wife, and Eight years as a widower,
agreeable to my Station in Meat, Drink, Harhing?, Lodging and Apparel

and further I give Devise and bequeath unto my beloved Son George
Michael one Shilling Sterling to be Paid to him out of My Estate by
My Executor of this my Last will and testament

and I Do hereby Nominate and appoint my Said Son in Law Conrad
Kreider to be the Executor of this My Last will and testament and I
Do hereby Declare this only to be my Last will and Testament and
hereby revoking all former wills by me made

In Witness so here of I the Said Michael Sebastian, the Testator have
hereunto set My hand and Seal the third Day of July in the year of our
Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty.

The above Said Last will and testament Was Signed Sealed published
and Declared by the above named Michael Sebastian the testator for
and as his Last will and Testament in the Presents of us, who in his
Presents and at his request have hereunto ____ named ___witness to
the same.
