NOTES: Find Northumberland County Will Index, Book 4, Page 530 for a will probated on March 27, 1857 for Peter Rebock who died on March 21, 1857. Executor was Peter Bohner the husband of Catherine Rebock, child number 1. I ordered a copy of the will. When it arrived, it was written in the German language. Johann Peter, Sr.'s surname is spelled without the h on his tombstone. All writing was in German on the stone. Johann (John) is his saint or spiritual name given at baptism. Peter is his lawful name and the name by which he was called. He is not called John. The 1850 census taken before Nov. 29 adds Dinah age 11 and David Gilders age 9 to Peter and Eve's children. (Dinah is probably Helena, Dinah Helena or Helena Dinah.) Tim's Tips on PA German Research is found on German gebornen means born, gestarben means died.
