This cemetery is on the backroad from Kulpmont to Mount Carmel. It is directly across the street from the big Catholic Cemetery. Kulpmont Cemetery is a unique cemetery. It was formed in Jun 1916 as the Kulpmont Protestant Cemetery Association. Nine families got together and bought the land. They incorporated and sold land to the families of the deceased. You bought the land cheap and had to clear off the trees, level the ground, and be the caretaker of your family plot. The Kulpmont Protestant Cemetery Association were these nine Kulpmont families. 1. George W. Payne 2. Ray M. Evert 3. Charles W. Landis 4. John H. Turner 5. Charles C. Cooner 6. Howard Sharp 7.
