Deed to: John Michael Gerlinger This Indenture made the 13th day of May in the year of our Lord 1812 between John Macpherson the younger of Buffalo ?Township in Northumberland County, and Martha his wife of the one part and John Michael Gerlinger of the same Township and County of the other part. Whereas Joseph Dibler late of the Township aforesaid deceased, lately died siezed and possessed of divers Estates, real and personal, situate in the said County and elsewhere, having first made his last will and Testament in writing being dated the 16th day of November in the year of our Lord 1794 duly proved and Remaining in the Registers Office for the County aforesaid, and in and thereby he devised and bequeathed all hid said Estate to his two Sisters to wit, Catharine (who intermarried with the said John Michael Gerlinger) and Barbara Dibler. And Whereas said John M. Gerlinger and Catharine his wife for a valuable consideration , by their Indenture bearing date the 13th day of May Instant, did grant bargain and sell all their Interest and Estates divided to them under the Will aforesaid. Now this Indenture Witnessith that the said John Macpherson and Martha his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of three hundred and twenty pounds lawful Money of Pennsylvania to them in hand will and duly paid by the said John Michael Gerlinger at the sealing and delivery hereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold released and Confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien and Confirm unto the said John M. Gerlinger his heirs all those described Estates. Interests desires and bequests in the said last mentioned Indenture. Together with all and singular the buildings, improvements, rights, liabilities, privileges, and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining and the Credits and Remainders Rents ??? and profits thereof. To have and to hold the aforesaid hereby granted lands, tenements goods Chattels and premises with the appurtenances unto the said John M. Gerlinger his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said John M. Gerlinger his heirs and assigns for ever. In Witness thereof the said parties to their presents have set their hands and Seal the day and year first above. Witness: John Macpherson Junior [seal] Martha Macpherson [seal] Sealed and delivered in the presence of Samuel Jenkins, John Snook. Received of t he said John M. Gerlinger the sum of three hundred and twenty pounds being the Consideration money aforesaid in full. John Macpherson Junior Attest John Snook. Northumberland County Afs. Be it Remembered that on the day of the date of this assigned forgoing Indenture the said John Mcpherson Junior and Martha his wife came before me the subscriber of the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas for the said County and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned and desired that as such the same may be recorded according to the law, the said Martha being of full age and by me examined privately and apart from her husband validated and Executed the same. Witness my hand and seal. John Macpherson [seal] Whereas in and by the said from John M. Gerlinger and wife bearing date 13th of May last to the said John Macpherson executed the forgoing deed it was the intention of the parties thereto, for the consideration herein mentioned to pay and convey to the said JohnMacpherson his heirs and assigns all of the Estates of the said Barbara Dibler which she holds under the said Will and all the Revisions, possession , or expectancy upon her death decribible thereon to the said Catharine and her heirs. And whereas the said John M.Gerlinger and Catharine his wife the latter to carry such intentions into Execution by their Declaratory deed, indorsed on the said deed dated the 13th day of May instant did fully grant and convey unto the said John Macpherson all the Estates and promises afs. Now the said John Macpherson and Martha his wife in Consideration of the promises do hereby bargain and sell to the said John M.Gerlinger his heirs and assigns all the Estate, lands and Chattels and granted in any of the said Recited Deeds. In Witness whereof the said John Macpherson and Martha have here unto Set their hands and Seals the 26th day of August in the Year of our Lord 1812.
