The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************************** Marcus Hulings Deed Poll to Robert McCallon Know all men by these presents that I Marcus Hulings of Upper Paxton in Lancaster County ferry Inkeeper for & in Consideration of the Sum of two hundred & thirty Pounds Lawfull money of Pennsylvania to me in hand well and truly paid by Robert McKallen at or before the Sealing and Delivery hereof the Receipt Whereof I do hereby Acknowledge and for other good Causes & Valuable Considerations have bargained sold Released assigned & Confirmed and by these Presents do grant bargain sell Release assigne & Confirm unto the said Robert McKallen his heirs Executors Administrators & Assigns all my right title Interest Property Claim and Demand of in and to a Certain Application by me or for me entered in the Proprietarys Land Office for the Province of Pennsylvania and Received in the same by the Secretary of the said office on the 3d day of April in the year 1769 for taking up three hundred thirty Six acres of Land Situate & Lying on the head of the Three Limestone Springs that Emptys into Chilisquaque through Allexander Morrows Land in Turbutt Township and Northumberland County Where the said Robert McKallen now Dwells and Likewise all my right Title Interest Property Claim and Demand of in and to a Certain order issued for Surveying & Locating to my use the sd. Quantity of three hundred & thirty Six acres of Land and of & to the Warrant and Patent to be granted for the same to have and to hold the said Premises and every part thereof Surveyed & Located in Pursuance of the said Aplication or order or meant mentioned & Intended so to be with all the appurtenances Whatsoever thereunto belonging to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Robert McKallen his heirs Exrs Admors forever Under and Subject to the Payment of the Consideration money and Quitrent due or to become due to the Honorable the Proprietaries of the said Province of the same and all other Charges Taxes and Assessments whatsoever and I the said Marcus Hulings for myself my heirs Executors Administrators Shall and will at all and any time or times hereafter upon the Reasonable Request of the said Robert McKallen his heirs Executors Admors & Assigns make do Execute acknowledge & Deliver or Cause to be Done all & every such Further and Other Conveyances and Assurances in the Law, for granting and Conveying the said Described tract of land & Premises with all the Appurtenances unto the said Robert McKaln his heirs Executors Admors & Assigns for ever as by him or them or their Council Learned in the Law shall be advised or Required In Witness whereof I the said Marcus Hulings have hereunto set my hand & Seal the 9th day of August in the year of our Lord 1777___NB before Signed it is agreed by the two Before mentioned Parties that the said Robert McKaln is to have the whole three hundred and Thirty six Acres of Land Beginning at a Black oak thence north one hundred & Eighty Perches to awhite oak west 216 Perches to a hickory Joining Fulmers land South 163 to awhite oak Joining Allison and Davis lands South East 88 perches to a Black oak East 166 perches to an Ash north 37 Deg. East 94 Perches to the Place of Beginning and I the Said Marcus Hulings do warrant & Defend the above said Lands unto the said Robert McKaln his heirs Executors Admors or Assigns for ever from any Persons whatsoever the Proprietaries of the said Soyl Excepted As Witness my hand & Seal the day and year above Written Marcus Hulings (S) Sealed & Delivered in the Presence of Marcus Hulings Junr. Marcus Huling Smith__ Northumberland County Ss. Personally appeared before me one of the Justices for this County Marcus Huling junr. one of the above Signing Evidences & on his Solemn oath Saith that he saw the above Signer Marcus Hulings Sign Seal and Deliver the above Conveyance According to Law; And that he also saw Marcus Hulings Black Smith the other Subscribing Witness Sign his name to the above Conveyance as an Evidence: In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this 16th of Jany. 1779.
