Christian King & others Deed to Andrew Stroube This Indenture made the twentieth day of August ano domino one thousand seven hundred and ninty-one. Between Christian King of Paxton township in the county of Dauphin and state of Pennsylvania, stone cutter and Conrad Bumbach of the borough of Harrisburg, township, county and state aforesaid, Innkeeper, Casper Shiffler of the township of Manheim, county of York and the state aforesaid and Maria Catharine his wife and Abraham Throne of Manheim township in York county and state aforesaid and Catharine his wife, and Christina the widow and relict of Georg Bumbach, deceased jointly and seperately of the one part, and Andrew Straup of Torbit township, Northumberland county and state aforesaid died seized and possessed of a certain tract of land in Penn's(now Beaver) township in the county of Northumberland aforesaid adjoining lands of Gereral Potts & others containing one hundred and twelve acres more or less, whereupon the said tract of land lawfully descended to the children of George Bumbach, dec'd. To wit, Margaret(since deceased) and the late wife of the said Christian King, Conrad Bumbach, John Bumbach, Maria Catherine the wife of Casper Shiffler & Catherine the wife of Abraham Throne, and Magdalena the wife of William Heime, and whereas George Bumbach(one of the heirs of the said George Bumbach, deceased) by Deed poll bearing date the sixteenth day of April A.D. 1787, for the consideration therein mentioned, did grant & confirm all his legal part or share of in and to the above tract of land unto the said Christian King, his heirs & assigns forever, as by the saidd Deed poll intended to be recorded willfully and at large appurtances and whereas William Heime and Magdalena his wife by their Deed poll bearing the date the twentieth day of April A.D. 1789 for the consideration therein mentioned did grant & confirm all their legal part or share of in and to the above mentioned tract of land, unto Abraham Throne his heirs & assigns forever. And whereas John Bumbach by Deed poll bearing the date the twentieth day of April A.D. 1789 for the consideration therein mentioned did grant & confirm all his part & share of in and to the said tract of land unto the said Abraham Throne his heirs and assigns forever, as by the said Deed polls intended to be recorded will more fully and at large appear, and whereas Christina the widow of the said George Bumbach, deceased is by the laws of this Commonwealth intitled to her third or widow dowery of the said tract of land, now this indenture witnesseth that the said Christian King, Conrad Bumbach, Casper Shiffler and Maria Catharine, his wife and Abraham Throne and Catherine, his wife amd Christina, the widow and relict of the said George Bumbach, deceased for and in consideration of the sume of one hundred andf ninty one pounds SPECIE? gold or silver money of Pennsylvania to them well and truly in hand paid by the said Andrew Straup the receipt and payment whereof whereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof doth acquit and forever discharge the said Andrew Straup his heirs and assigns by these presents, have and each of them hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, released & confirmed & by these presents do and each of them doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, release and confirm unto the said Andrew Straup & his heirs & assigns all that their undivided parts or shares jointly and separately of into and out of all that the aforementioned tract oe piece of land containing one hundred and twelve acres more or less, together with all & singular their and each of their part or parts share, shares of into and out of all the buildings, improvements, rights, members and appurtances whatsoever their sale belonging or in any way appurtances and of in and to the revisions, remainders, rents, issues & profits thereof and also all the estate & estates, rights tikio? interests purport heritage use trust properly possession claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Christian King in _____? of John Bumbach aas aforesaid and Christina the widow of George Bumbach, deceased and each and every one of them at law and in equity or otherwise howsoever of into and out of the said tract of land & premises with the appurtances hereby granted & released meant mentioned or intended as to be unto the said Andrew Straup, his heirs & assigns forever subject never the less to the payment of the purchase money & interest due and to become due thereon in the land office of Pennsylvania to the revisions reserved by the state aforesaid if any there be. And the said Christian King, Conrad Bumbach, Casper Shiffler, Abraham Throne and Christina the widow of the said George Bumbach, dec'd doth Covenant and grant for themselves jointly & separately their and each of their heirs the said tract of land and premises hereby granted with their appurtances unto the said Andrew Straup, his heirs and assigns against them the said Christian King, Conrad Bumbach, Casper Shiffler and his wife, Abraham Throne and his wife and Christina widow of the said George Bumbach, dec'd and their heirs and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever lawfully claiming the said premises or any part thereof by, from or under them or any or wither and every of them shall & will warrant & for _____? defend by these presents in witness whereof the said parties to these presents have interchangeably set their hands and seals, the day & year first above written ~Christian King(seal) Conrad Bumbach(seal) Casper Shiffler(seal) Abraham Throne(seal) Catharine(her X mark) Throne(seal) Maria Catharina(her X Mark) Shiffler (seal) Sealed and delivered in the presents of us: Anthony Seyfert, John Puther, Timy Green--Witnesses(____?)
