(Clearfield, Pa.) January 27, 1858 The barn and stable of Mr. McPherson, about 5 miles below Sunbury, was entirely consumed on the night of the 12th. Daniel Dougherty, contractor on the Railroad, lost his buggy. Charles Dougherty had seven horses in the stable which were rescued. The fire occurred about 4 o'clock A. M., and is supposed to have been the work of an incendiary. The barn was a new one. Mr. McPherson had his winters meat in the basement. His loss is a serious one.
