MOUNT GARMEL, PA.. 1 Geo. A. Buehler Dies of Stroke In Hospital George A. Buehler, aged 77 years, of 117 south Apple street, died Sunday morning at 12:45 o'clock in the Shamokin State Hospital. He had been admitted Wednesday morning after suffering a stroke at his home. Mr. Buehler was born in Pitman on July 17, 1876, son of the late George and Emma (Koble) Buehler, but lived in Mount Oarmel since childhood., For over 20 years he had been employed as hostler for the late M. K. Watkins, then by P. P. & L. Co. for several years at the Seventh and Oak: street plant, before entering the employ of Philadelphia and Beading Coal and iron Co. as stable boss at Alaska colliery, which position he held 20 years, retiring five years ago. George A. Buehler and Carrie Shaffer, this city, were married here March 18, 1896, and just last month observed their 58th wedding anniversary. Survivors include his wife, two sons, Raymond and Alfred of Wil-liamsport; two daughters, Mrs. Emma Schucker and Mrs. Carrie Tiets-worth, both of this city; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, John Buehler, Bloomsburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Momley, Shamokin, and Mrs. Becky Neirhood, Lewistown. j A daughter, Mrs. Henrietta Teufel, died November 4, 1953. Mr. Buehler was a member of St. Paul Evangelical united Brethren Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11 .o'clock at the Rothermel Funeral Home, with Rev. E. B. Harris officiating, assisted by Rev. James Harring, Allentown, formerly of this city, a grandson. Interment will take place in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Viewing will be Tuesday evening.
