Sunbury American 5 January 1856
The Philadelphia Papers noticed the sudden death of James Hepburn at 
Philadelphia on the 25 December 1855. He was the 1st President of the Bank of 
Northumberland. And afterward President of Tide Water Canal Company and at the 
time of his death "State Reporter" an office to which he had been appointed by 
Gov Pollock.  He was esteemed as a good lawyer and well qualified for the 
station.
