Marriage License, Lewis & Logan
Northumberland Co.
Personally appreared before me, a J. P. of said County, Charles A. Lewis is contemplated 
by and between the man and woman first hereafter named, and that the answers to the 
following interrogatories are correct and true
Name of man, Charles A. Lewis
Name of woman, M. Grace Logan
Relationships of the parties, either by blood or by marriage, none
Age of man, and where born, 22 years, Danville, Montour Co., PA
Age of woman, and where born, 19 years, Shamokin, Northumberland Co., PA
Residence of the man, Shamokin, PA
Residence of the woman, Shamokin, PA
Parent's names - man, H. T. & Sarah Lewis
Parents' names - woman, J. C. & Laurabella Logan, Consent of parents given
Color of parties, white, occupation of man, barber, occupation of woman, milliner, and 
that we know of no reseaon why said marriage may not be lawfully made, and thereupon 
request that a license be issued therefor.  
[?] and subscribed before me, this 31 day of March, 1899, Francis M. Rowe, J. P. Charles 
A. Lewis
April 1, 1899, duly attested and acknowledged consent of J. C. Logan, father, M. Grace 
Logan to this marriage filed.
Whereuponh a Marriage License was issued in due form of law, this 1 day April 1899.
April 7, 1899.  Duplicate certificate signed by Rev. William E. Fischer certifying to the 
solemnizatiion of said marriage at Shamokin on April 6th, 1899, recieved and filed.
