Smith, Maria Elizabeth petition for guardians The petition of Maria Elizabeth Smith widow and relict of Peter Smith late of Upper Mahonoy in the county oforesaid yeoman deceased was referred to the court setting forth that the petitioner said husband left ifsue eight children even of whom to wit Magdalena, Michael, Anna Maria, Catherine, Peter, Barbara and Solomia are minors under the age of fourteen years and have no guardians to take care of their persons and estates. The petitioner therefore humbly prays the court to appoint some proper person or persons as guardian or guardians of said children.
