gas blew out battery.

falling down manway

5-Dec	"Colowskie, Stany"	Polish		Miner			25	S	0	0	Corbin		Killed by 
explosion of powder which he ignited in his powder box on gangway. Died 
December 10.

explosion of gas in manway

20-Oct	"Devegena, Tony"	Italian		Laborer			33	M	1		Natalie		Killed by fall 
of slate at face of pillar

28-Nov	"Dunmoyer, Edward"	American	Miner			38	M	1	0	Cameron		Killed by rush 
of gob from old chute in airway which he had driven through to old gangway

2-Feb	"Etzel, Edward"		American	Laborer			31	M	1	0	Cameron		Killed by fall 
of rock at face of slope

12-Nov	"Ficko, Nick"		Italian		Miner			22	S	0	0	Alaska		Killed by fall of 
coal at face of breast

15-May	"Gedridge, Wally"	Polish		Miner			54	M	1	0	Richards	"Burned by 
explosion of gas. Eldridge and Rusko were told by fire boss that there was 
gas in their breast (No. 17)
															and they should put up brattice to clear it out. Revock, who 
worked in No 16 Breast had gone up to the return heading
															(unknown to the fire boss and the miners in No. 17), and when 
the gas in No. 17 breast moved out, Revock opened his safety lamp and 
ignited the gas. Gedridge died May 22, Rusko May 30, and Revock July 3."

26-May	"Gegaka, Joseph"	Polish		Miner			32	M	1	4	Buck Ridge	"Killed at face 
of gangway by explosion of blast that had missed fire. He started to pick 
out the shot and his pick struck the cap, which caused the shot to explode"

13-May	"General, Reynard"	Polish		Miner			32	M	1	2	Buck Ridge	Suffocated. 
While working at face of breast the manway broke and the coal running 
through carried him down the manway.

8-Jun	"Gessner, Frank"	American	Miner			36	S	0	0	Colbert		Fatally injured by 
explosion of gas near face of chute. He went up chute with naked light and 
ignited the gas. Died June 15

11-Nov	"Hagush, John"		Polish		Miner			40	M	1	0	Big Mountain	Killed by 
explosion of shot at face of chute. Shot exploded before he got away.

28-Apr	"Hall, Wilson"		American	Driver			18	S	0	0	North Franklin	"Fatally 
injured by being struck by chute while riding on loaded cars on gangway, 
with his face to the rear. Died May 1"

9-Sep	"Henninger, Charles"	American	Fireboss		43	M	1	1	Colbert		Killed by 
falling down manway while removing gas from face of breast.

5-Feb	"Homoroski, John"	Slavonian	Laborer			30	M	1	0	Alaska		Killed by fall 
of slate on gangway

10-Jun	"Hudock, George"	Slavonian	Loader			36	M	1	4	Bear Valley	"Killed by 
rush of coal. Whilte loading coal into mine car on gangway from a running 
chute he slipped and fell into car and the coal rushed in on him,"

face of breast and the first one exploded while he was lighting the second

down airway. The battery broke on which he was working

being caught on top of shaft cage while adjusting safety catches.

24-Feb	"Winters, Stany"	Polish		Fireboss		54	M	1	2	Scott		Killed by being 
squeezed between car and rib

27-May	"Wishnefskie, Fred"	Polish		Doorboy			16	S	0	0	Cameron		Fatally 
injured by being caught by chute on gangway. He was riding in an empty mine 
car to his place of work and stood up in car.

9-Oct	"Wolengavage, Henry"	American	Miner			21	M	1	0	North Franklin	Killed 
by fall of coal at face of breast

15-Jan	"Zicofski, Charles"	Polish		Miner			35	M	1	0	Pennsylvania	Killed by 
fall of slate at face of breast

struck by a piece of timber from air battery in chute. Explosion of gas blew
