Bobb Entered in Will Book #4 page 6, 7, 8 Filed 1 Sep. 1845 In the name of God Amen. I Michael Bobb of Jackson Township, Northumberland County and the State of Penn. Being far advanced in years but of sound and desposing mind, memory and understanding, blessed be God for the same. Do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows First and principal of all I command my immortal Soul into the hands of God who gave it and my Body to the Earth to be decently entered and Buried in a Christian like manner as my Executors shall direct, in humble hopes of a Glorious Resurrection and an happy admission into the Regions of my Meditator and Redeemer Jesus Christ. And as to such Worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me in this Life to give and dispose of the same in the following manner to wit: Imprimise? it is my will and I do order and direct, that my just debts and Funeral expenses be paid and sattisfied as soon as conveniently may be done after my Decease. 1st I give and bequeath unto my beloving Wife Salome Bobb, my house and plantation in Jackson township, wherein I now live, during her natural life and as long as she remains my Widow. And after her decease my will is that my son Solomon Bobb is to have the same place by paying up to my Executors the sum of $1200 and he is to commence to pay up one year after my decease the sum of $25 dollars and so anually during the natural life of my wife Salome and after her decease the remainder in one year after her decease. 2nd I also give and bequeath unto my wife Salome, during her natural life, and as long as she remains my widow viz: two horses (the choice of all) and horse geers, the little Plantation Waggon, one Plow, and one Harrow, two good Cows, four Sheck, and the choice of four hoggs, four good Bed and Bedsteads, my house Clock, one Beaurau and one Chest, one stove and pipe, one Tabl and six Chairs, the Kitchen Dresser and all in it, two small and one large iron kittle and one copper kittle and as much kitchen furniture as she wants. And of all the grain now in the Barn, and of that which is to be put in year. As much as she is in need during one year, and the remainder is to be sold at public or private sale. And also one Beef and four Hogs to kill for her use in the fall. 3rd And my will is that my other plantation at Little Mahanoy township shall be equally divided by three or five disinterested men, as near and even as they can possible do and then my will is that my two sons Samuel and Jonathan Bobb is to have one share each, by paying up $1000 each to my Executors and to commence paying up one year after my decease and so annually the sum of $25 each, during the natural life of my wife Salome, and after her decease the remainder one year after her decease. But should one or both of my sons Samuel or Jonathan Refuse to take the land it shall then be sold at public or private sale. 4th I give and bequeath to my son, Solomon Bobb that horse which I gave him and also the gray horse, and all the horn Cattle on my other plantation excepting one Hoffer, and so all them Hogs excepting two, no hay or straw shall be sold. My German Bible my daughter Susannah shall have as a present. And after the decease of my wife Salome, all the remaining effects are to be sold at public vendue and the money equally divided among all my children viz: Lydia, John, Michael, Sarah, Solomon, Samuel, Mary, Jonathan and Susannah - share and share alike. The share of the Miners to be put to interest on good security. Lastly I appoint my beloving sons John Bobb and Michael Bobb and son-in-law Philip Smith to be my Executors of this my last will and Testament, Revoking all former Wills and Testaments Bequeaths Lagecees. Rattifying this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 14th day of August in the year of our Lord AD 1845. County Be it remembered that on the first day of September AD 1845 Before me Edward Oyster, Register of Wills in aforsaid County, personally appeared Peter Montelius & John Adam Daniel, the two subscribing witnesses to the within will who on the solemn loath declare that they were personally present did see and hear Michael Bobb the testator, sign seal publish and pronounce as for his last Will and Testament at the time of so doing he was in sound mind memory and understanding that they witnessed the same in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other forth saith not Sworn & Subscribe Before me Edw.
