           Will of George Michael Bostion Sr, 1844

In the name of God amen.  I George Bostion Sr of Augusta
Township in the County of Northumberland and State of
Pennsylvania, farmer, being very weak in body But of Sound
mind, memory, and understanding.  Blessed be God for the
same and considering the uncertainty of this transitory
life do make this my last will and Testament in manner
Following to wit.

Principally and first of all I command my immortal soul
unto the hands of God who gave it and my body to the Earth
to be buried in a decent and Christian Like manner.

Item.  To my wife Susanna Bostion I give and bequeath my
farm where I now live in Augusta Township in said county
for the time during her natural life.  that she is to have
all benefits what is arising from the same till her
deceased by paying the taxes for the Land what may be
assessed on the same.   And after her death It is my will
and I order and direct my executors herein after Named to
dispose of my real Estate or make sale of the same, for the
best price that can be gotten for the same and to the best
advantage for my Estate I hereby Empower my Executors
herein after names or the Survivor of them to Execute and
Deliver good and sufficient Deed of Conveyance for said
Land to the purchers or purchers there of.

3d  To my wife Susanna Bostion I give and Bequeath as much
house and Kitchen furniture as she may want for her own use.

4  It is my will and I order and direct that all  monies
arising from my Real or personal Estate including bonds,
notes, and Book accounts.  after  payment of my just debts,
funeral expenses, and other Expenses, shall be equally
divided among the following named Children, __ Share and
share alike ___ Peter Bostion, Jesse Bostion, Daniel
Bostion, George Bostion, Mary Lantz (formerly) Bostion,
Christina Conrad wife of Henry Conrad, to Rachel Simton
(formerly) Bostion, Catharine Renn (formerly) Bostion, Lucy
Zimmerman wife of Jeremiah Zimmerman,

and to my 5th Daughter Elisabeth Bostion, I order and
direct my executors to pay her the sum of Fifty dollars
more than any of my other children her before named, and
also one good bed and bedding and Bedstead [Bedding?] and
one good Bureau and six Windsor Chairs for her only use.

6th  And to my son George Bostion, I give and bequeath one
half of the winter grain what is in the ground on my
farm.  by him to cutting and thrashing the same and
dividing it by the Bushel and the one half of his mother
for her use and Further
I order and direct that the two new sets of Harness my son
George Bostion is to have for his own and proper use

7th  And Further I give and bequeath to my wife Susanna
Bostion all the Cattle, sheep, hogs, and Horses whatever is
on my farm belonging to me for her proper use during her
natural Life

8th  I appoint my son George Bostion and Philip Weiser to
be the Executors of this my Last will and testament and I
hereby revoke all wills and Testaments by me heretofore
made declare this my last will and testament  Witness my
hand and seal January 26th 1844.
