I Mathias Bower of the township of Jackson in the County of Northumberland in the State of Pennsylvania, farmer, being very sick and weak in body but of Sound mind, memory and understanding, Blessed be God for the same, but considering the uncertainty of this transitory Life, do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner following, to wit. Principally and first of all I commend my immortal Soul into the hands of God, who gave it, and my body to the Earth, to be buried in a decent and Christianlike manner at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named and as to such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life I give and dispose of the Same in the following manner, to wit. First I do order and direct that my Executors hereinafter named, or the Survivor of them, shall, as soon as conveniently may be after my death, sell and dispose of all my Real Estate or my Plantation situate in Jackson township, North'd County, as well as of all my personal property to such person or persons and for such price or prices as may be reasonably gotten for the same and for that purpose I do hereby authorize and empower my said Executors, or the Survivors of them, to Sign, Seal, Execute and Acknowledge all such deed or deeds of conveyance as may be requisite and necessary for the granting and assuring the same to the purchaser or purchasers thereof in fee simple and the monies arising from such sale to be Dividet among my childern. My son Frederick to have his share and my son Michael to have his share. My son Jacob to have his share. My son Benjamin to have his share. My Daughter Maria, her share I bequeath to her son [Charls Daniel (?)]. My Daughter Catrine to have her share and the childern of my deceased Daughter Susana, late wife of Daniel Witmer, to have her share and share alike and my Daughter Elizabeth, wife of Henry Witmer, to have her share. My son Samuel shall Draw no share out of my estate as I dit give him in share a certain tract of land I sold to him here to fore. As to my other children shall Each have his Share and Share alike And lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint my friends Michael Lenker and Michael German, both of Lower Mahanoy township to be the Executors of this my last will, hereby revoking all other wills, Legacies and bequests by me heretofore made, and declaring this and no other to be my last will and testament.
