We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ Northumberland County Willbook, Vol 3 (1827-1845), p 458 22 June 1839/ 11 Jan 1844 Abraham Brosius, Sen'r dec'd In the name of God Amen, I Abraham Brosius, Sen'r of Upper Mahanoy Township in the County of Northumberland State of Pennsylvania, Yeoman, being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding do make and declare this my last will and testament. I commend my soul to God and my body to the earth to be decently entered as my Executors hereinafter named shall direct in humble hope of a glorious reserection and a happy admission into the regions immortal life, glory in and through the merrits of my Mediator and redeemer, Christ Jesus & as such worldly estate wherewith God hath blessed me with I do give and devise and dispose of the same in manner following to wit (1) I give and bequeath unto my son Peter Brosius the sum of three Hundred dollars to be paid to him in five equal payments that is to say sixty dollars to be paid to him one year after my decease and the remainder in sixty dollars payments. (2) I give and bequeath unto my son Abraham Brosius the sum of three hundred dollars, Sixty dollars to be paid two years after my decease and the remainder in sixty dollar payments. (3) I give and bequeath unto my dauter Euliana the wife of John Beachtel the sum of three hundred dollars the first sixty dollars three years after my decease.(4) I give and bequeath unto the Heirs of my son George Brosius four years after my decease the sum of one hundred sixty nine dollars forty nine cents in equal shares as my bonds become due and in case one or the other should die it shall be divided share and share alike among the rest.(5I give and bequeath unto the heirs of my daughter Elizabeth the wife of Peter Zegenfus shall have sixty dollars for their full share are to be paid after foregoing legacies to my son Peter Brisius, to my son Abraham Brosius, to my dauaghter Euliana the wife of John Beachtel to the ten children of my son George Brosius and to my daughter Elizabeth the wife of Peter Zegenfuss to her one daughter all of which legacies to be paid by John Delb without any interest if paid when due.(6)I give unto my son Nicholas Brosious one hundred Pounds in his life that shall be his share in full of my estate.(7)I give and bequeath unto my son John Brosius one Hundred Pounds in his lifetime and that is to be his full share out of my Estate, (8) I give and bequeath unto my son in law John Delb who is intermarried to my Daughter Anna Mary the Plantation on which I now live immediately before and at my decease containing one hundred and sixty one acres and fifty seven perches of Land allowance ( be the same more of less) for which he is to pay the sum Eleven hundred twenty nine dollars forty nine as aforesaid and after my decease there Is a deed already made for my daughter in law John John Delb and to be given to him by my Executor and the said John Delb to give his bonds to my Executor, that is to say sixty dollars one year after my decease and then sixty dollars every year until the whole amount is paid as aforesaid.(9) I give and bequeath unto my Dear wife Catharina all my movable property during her natural life and all what is left after her decease shall be given to my Daughter Anna Mary the wife of John Delb or to her heirs and assigns.(10) I do now order and direct that all my wife Catharina her clothes are to be divided among my two daughters share and share alike that is to say one share to my daughter Euliana the wife of John Beachtel and the other half to my daughter Anna Mary the wife of John Delb. It is my will and desire that my wife Catharina is to have possession of the house I now occupy during her natural life. And lastly, I do herby nominate & institute and appoint my trusty friend Peter Brosious Sen'r of the Township of Upper Mahanoy, North'd County to my Executor. This is my last will and testament revoking and declaring null and void all former will or wills, testament or testaments by me heretofore made declaring this and no other to be my & containing my last will & testament. In witness wherof I Abraham Brosius Sr.have herunto set my hand & Seal, the twenty second day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine. Abraham Brosius (seal) Signed, Sealed, Published by the testator Abraham Brosius in the presence of us at at and for his last will testament and at his request have so subscribed one Daniel Hilbush John Brown Northumberland County Be it remembered that on the 11th day of January A.D. 1844 before Edward Oyster, Register in and for said County personally appeared Daniel Hilbrush and John Brown the subscribing witnesses to the forgoing will who in their solemn oath declare that they were personally present & did see and hear Abraham Brosius the testator sign, seal, and publish and pronounce the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament and at the time of so doing he was of sound mind, memory, and understanding that they witnessed the same in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other and that the named Daniel Hilbush and John Brown subscribed thereto is the proper handwriting & deponents further saith Sworn and Subscribed Daniel Hilbrush Before me John Brown Edward Oyster, Register Be it remembered on the 11th day of January A.D. 1844 was proved and approved the last will and testament of Abraham Browius late of Upper Mahanoy Township dec'd (of which the foregoing is a true copy) and that Letters Testamentory with the will annexed were granted to Peter Broseous Sr., Executor in the said will named.
