In the Name of God, Amen. I William Clark of Shamokin Township in the County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania being sick and weak of body but of Sound mind and memory (thanks be to God for the Same.) Do make this my last will and Testament in manner following to wit; Principally and first of all I recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body to be Buried in a Christian manner at the discretion of my Executors herein after Named; And as touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose of the Same in the following manner to wit; First, It is my will that all my Just debts and Funeral Expenses be paid by my Executors herein after Named out of my personal estate. Second, It is my will and I order that my beloved wife Elizabeth shall have the front room upstairs with the fireplace in it and the small front room adjoining it witih liberty of the Kitchen and Cellar and Milkhouse together with one third of the Hay and Grain raised on the Plantation as I now have during her Natural life or as long as she shall remain my widow and so much of my Household furniture as she shall choose and two Cows such as she shall choose out of my flock and one half of the Garden adjoining the house. Item, I give and devise unto my two sons William and John the Remainder of my personal estate which I order to be sold as soon as convenient after my decease by my executors hereafter named and the same equally divided. Item, I give and devise unto my Grandson William Clark son of Thomas Clark Deceased the Sum of Fifty Pounds to be paid out of my real estate (after the Death of my widow) as his full part of his Father's share of my estate. Item, I give and devise unto my son-in-law Abraham Dewitt and my Daughter Elizabeth each five shillings in full of all their share out of my Estate. But I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Elizabeth's children that she may have by said Dewitt one equal part or majority or half share with my other children out of my real Estate. Item, I give and devise unto my son-in-law George Pearson one Dollar in full of his part of my Estate Real and Personal. Item, I give unto my Daughter Margaret (wife of said Pearson) one full equal part or share of my real Estate during her Natural life and to her Heirs after her decease. Item, I give and devise unto my sons John and William and to my son-in-laws Christophel Reed and my Daughter Sarah, Jonathan Farnsworth and my Daughter Ann, John Waters and my Daughter Eleanor, equal shares out of my Real Estate. It is my will that if any of my Grand Children should die without issue then their share or shares to be equally divided among the surviving brothers and sisters. It is my will that my Real Estate shall be sold by my executors immediately after the decease of my widow and divided as aforesaid. Lastly, I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my Son John and my trusty friends Jacob Reed and Jacob Snyder (from Tulpehocken) Executors of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last will, In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Second day of July in the year of our Lord 1802.
