Written: December 6, 1817

John Covert of Turbot Twp, Northumberland Co, PA having written his will 6
December 1817, died January 1818. Mathias Webb and Daniel Scudder applied for
application for probate on 19th January 1818; but note that the executors who
were named in the will were Adam Folmer and Thomas Pollock. Surviving John was
his widow Ruth and living sons Morris, Philip, Enoch, Elisha, James and living
daughters Polly Ann and Phoebe). Daughter Polly was married to Robert Pamble.
Daughter Mary whose children, Anna Eliza Kirk and Mary Kirk, rec'd legacies of
money. A grandson also rec'd a legacy - Elisha (a minor-aged son of the dec'd
son John) and for whom a guardian by name of Adam Folmer was appointed. These
three grandchildren rec'd a legacy of 40 pounds each. The widow Ruth Covert
rec'd 1/3 value of her late husband's land.
