In the name of God amen. I John Frick of the Borough of Sunbury in the County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind memory and understanding, but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit, Principally and first of all I commend my immortal soul into the hands of God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named, and as to such worldy estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this world I give and dispose of the same in the following manner to wit, First, It is my will and I do order that all my just debts and personal expenses be paid as soon as they conveniently can be after my decease. Secondly I give and devise unto my dear wife Elizabeth my house and lot situate on Queen Street in the town of Northumberland and marked in the plan of said town No. 79 for and during her natural life or so long as she remains by widow. I also give unto her two feather beds with sufficient bed clothes and two bedsteads (her choice of all)& the kitchen furniture one case of drawers one large and one small looking glass, one dining one breakfast & one small red table, one tea table & one stand. One half dozen of arm and one half dozen of common chairs, two chests, one tin plate stove, one wool wheel, one cotton wheel, & one flax wheel & one reel, brass and iron shovel and tongs; six table cloths and six towels & one cow & the bond payable by John Frick Junior to John & Elizabeth Frick for one hundred pounds with all such necessaries of life as may be laid in store at the time of my decease the above bequest of personal property to be hers forever & the above bequests to my said wife to be in full & lieu of her dower at common law. 2nd. I give and bequeath unto my son John my large Bible. 3rd. I give and bequeath unto my son George Augustus my desk and bookcase and one bed with bedding and bedstead. 4th. I order and direct my Executors herein after named to pay for boarding Clothing and schooling of my children Charles, James, Catherine, & Benjamin until they arrive at the age of 14 years out of my estate. I order my Executors to sell and dispose of all my personal property not herein before disposed of either at public or private sale. I further order and empower my Executors herein after named to sell and dispose of all my real estate wheresoever the same may be either at public or private sale as they shall think most proper and to give as good and sufficient deed or deeds for the same as I might or could give in my lifetime. But they are not to sell the house and lot bequeathed to my Dear Wife until her death or marriage whichever shall happen first. I give and bequeath unto my nine sons to wit Jacob, John, George Augustus, William, Henry, Frederick, Charles, James and Benjamin the money arising from the sale of the house and lot bequeathed to my wife Elizabeth during her life or widowhood when the same is sold to be divided among them share and share alike of the monies arising from the sale of all the real and personal property together with such money as may be due and owing to me at the time of my decease. After the above bequests, devices or orders are paid or complied with, I order and direct to be divided among all my children to wit my nine sons above mentioned and my Daughters, Rebecca the wife of Joseph B. Norbury & Catherine share & share alike. I hereby appoint John Hannah & Joseph Priestley Guardians of my minor children until they arrive at the age of twenty-one. And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my son John Frick & my friend Samuel McClintock Executors of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all other wills and testaments by me heretofore made and declaring this and no other to be my last Will & Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 28th February One thousand Eight hundred and Eleven. Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator as & for his last wil & testament in the presense of us who in his presense & at his request John Frick (seal) have subscribed as witnesses the words "my children" interlined in the second line from the bottom of the first page done before signing.
