LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT Be it remembered, that I, David Hodge, of the borough of Shamokin, County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound disposing mind, memory and understanding, do make, publish and ordain this as and for my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. Imprimis. I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied by my Executrix hereinafter named, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease; and, that my body be interred in the Shamokin Cemetery according to the rites and ceremonies of the Presbyterian Church. Item. I give, devise and bequeath, unto my beloved wife Henrietta Hodge, all of my property, real, personal and mixed, for and during her natural life, if she shall so long remain single and retain my name; and, that upon her remarriage or death, then and in either event, I give, devise and bequeath all my property, real, personal and mixed unto my children, viz: Bessie G. Dinger and Henrietta B. Milbrand, share and share alike; and, it is my will that upon the decease of either of my said children, that the share of such child shall go to and descend to the child or children of my deceased child and that no part of my estate shall go to the husband of either of my said children at any time, or under and circumstances. Lastly. I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my beloved wife, Henrietta Hodge, to be the sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament, without entering security for the faithful performance of her duties as such. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I, David Hodge, the Testator, have to this my last will and testament, type-written on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal, this 19th day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and one (1901).
