I James Morgan Considering the uncertainty of this Mortal life and being of sound mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same Do make this my last Will and testament in manner and form following (that is to say) Item 1 I will that all my just debts be first paid out of my movable estate if that should be Sufficient if not the deficiency out of my real estate. Item 2 I Give and bequeath to my five Children namely Charles and Henry, Mary intermarried to John Vandevender and to their heirs, Elizabeth intermarried to Henry Rockefeller and to their heirs + to Susanna intermarried to Abel Gibbons and to their heirs All the rest of my estate both real and personal, to share alike that is to be equally divided among them all, (theirs not to effect Henry) or or to a Note I gave him for Seven hundred dollars but he is to have his equal share beside the amount of the Note I gave him nor is intended to preven[sic] my wife to have her dower. And lastly I constitute and appoint Henry Morgan and Henry Rockefeller my Executors of this my last Will & Testament hereby revoking of all former Wills by me made. And I do authorize my herein after, named Executor to Sell and all my and to convey the same of real estate in part thereof or to devided[sic] amon[sic] themselves as Shall seem best and fulfill all contracts made by me in Witness whereof I have herein to my hand and Seal the Second day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty three, James Morgan Signed Sealed and declared by the above named James Morgan to be his last Will & Testament in the prescence of us, who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereunto. D. 1843 Before me Edward Oyster, Register in and for said County personally appeared Elisha Kline, Ebenezer W. Marcher & Abraham Stack the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of James Morgan who on their solemn Oath declared that they were personally present and did see James Morgan the testator Sign and seal the foregoing as his Last will & testament and at the time of so doing he was of Sound mind memory & understanding as deponents do believe that they witnessed the same in the presence of each other, and further saith not. D. 1843 Was proved and approved the last Will and testament of James Morgan of Point Township decd (of which the foregoing is a true Copy) And that Letters Testamentary with the Will Annexed were granted to Henry Morgan and Henry Rockefeller, Executors in the said Will named.
