Johannes Latcha Probated March 23, 1810 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Will of Catherine Latsha, 1763-1852 Northumberland Co. Courthouse Will Book 4 page 307 In the name of God, I, Catherine Latsha widow of the deceased Johannes Latsha of Jackson township in Northumberland Co. and state of Pennsylvania. I am not ill of heart but at my age am weak but of sound mind and judgment. Thanks to God for that, herewith I make and note this last will and testament as follows: First I place my soul in God's hands who has given it to me and my body into the earth in a Christian funeral and the worldly possessions with which God has blessed me, I give in the following manner: my executor is to take the law in his hands and all my possession which I have left behind, after my death shall the executor sell at public sale and collect the money to pay my debts and what is left is to be divided in equal parts to my children, namely 4 sons and 3 daughters. In my lifetime I have divided money among my children To my son John Latsha without writing, ten thalor To my son Heinrich Latsha without writing, sixty eight thalor To my son Frederick Latsha forty thalor, fifty cent To my son -in-law Michael Wolfe I have given seventy thalor, ninety cents all without writing, To my son-in-law William Stroh I have given money without writing, the sum of twenty seven thalor. Further , I give the sum of Twenty-eight thalor to my grandchildren by Frederick Latsha in the same way as to my children. Also my clothes, which I will leave behind, for the trouble they have had with me. Further it is my will, that my daughter Elizabeth, married to William Stroh is to take that which is hers but not to her husband. What I have received for my livelihood is correct from my son Frederick because I lived with him so long. So I close my last will and declare all previous made will null & void from this date on. Finally, I declare and name my dear friend, Heinrich Latsha as my executor in my last will. This I witness with my own hand and seal on 8 (March/May) 1848.
