I Frederick Latsha Sr. of the Township of Washington in the County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania being of sound mind memory, and understanding do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. And first I direct that my body be decently interred in the St. Peters Church Cemetery in the Township of Jackson County and State aforesaid, according to the rights and ceremonies of the said church, and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life. As to such estate as it has pleased God to intrust me with I dispose of the same as follows viz: First, I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid by my Executors hereafter named; as soon as conveniently can be done and that my Executors shall get and make up a tomb stone to the value of about seventy or seventy-five dollars, which they shall pay out of my estate. 2nd, I give, devise, and bequeath to my two sons Frederick Latsha and Adam Latsha, the following described Real Estate viz: all that certain tract of Land situate in the Township of Washington in the County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania, bounded north by land of Peter Shott, George Latsha, Simon Robel and others, West by Simon Robel and South by Michael Smith, Sr., Michael Smith Jr. Adam Rebuck and others, and on the East by John Latsha and others containing in all about one hundred and fifty acres of land being the same more or less, with the appurtenances to have and to hold the said messuage, tenement and tract of land above described to their heirs and assigns forever, for which described premises they the said Frederick Latsha and Adam Latsha shall pay to the estate, the sum of three thousand dollars, in manner following viz: as much as they can pay of their own money within two years from my death, and the remaining unpaid after two years after my death to give their obligations to my other heirs payable three years after date, without interest that is of the proportional share coming to each one. 3rd, I give devise and bequeath to my son Isaac Latsha the following described Real Estate viz: all that certain messuage, tenement and tract of land situate in the Township of Washington in the County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania, bounded by land of Simon Robel, George Latsha, and the above or forgoing described premises and others containing in all about seventy acres of land more or less, being the same premises which the said Isaac Latsha now lives, with the appurtenances to have and to hold the said messuage and tract of land, above described, during his natural life, and if he the said Isaac Latsha shall have any children or legal heirs at the time of his death, then to them their heirs and assigns forever and in case he the said Isaac Latsha shall have no children or legal heirs at the time of his death, then the said above described premises with the appurtenances shall fall back to my five other heirs share and share alike, or to their heirs and assigns forever. The said Isaac Latsha shall pay for the last above described premises to my Executors the sum of five hundred dollars within two years from my death. 4th, It is my will that, if any dispute shall arise at any time on the title of the said above described premises or tract of land or any part thereof, which I bequeathed to my son during his life, that my three sons namely Isaac Latsha, Frederick Latsha, and Adam Latsha shall pay all such expenses for to secure a good title, share and share alike. 5th, I give and bequeath to my son Isaac Latsha, my Rifle (or flint) and to my sons Frederick Latsha and Adam Latsha each one, one of my other guns, to their heirs and assigns forever. 6th, I give and bequeath to my daughter Anna Latsha one cow, and one hog weighing between forty and fifty pounds life weight, and to her heirs and assigns forever. 7th, I give and bequeath to my daughter Lenah [Magdalena] intermarried with Daniel Kiehl, and to my daughter Anna Latsha (single woman) each the sum of five hundred dollars of my money which I now have, each one their proportional share of my silver, and the balance up to said five hundred dollars in [illegible word]. 8th, I give and bequeath to my grand children Emmanuel Kiehl, Lovinah Kiehl intermarried with Emanuel Wetzel, and Amanda Kiehl intermarred with Peter Fegley, heirs and children of my daughter Polly deceased, who was intermarried with Daniel Kiehl, the sum of five hundred dollars, share and share alike to their heirs and assigns forever. 9th, I direct that all my remaining personal property shall be sold by public sale by my Executors hereinafter to be named, and after all my Estate shall be converted by my Executors, into money then it shall be divided equally, as soon as it can be done share and share alike among my said six children, or their heirs and assigns forever. That is to Isaac Latsha, Frederick Latsha, Adam Latsha, Lenah Kiehl, Anna Latsha, (and my said grand children Emmanuel Kiehl, Lovinah Wetzel, and Amanda Fegley, heirs of my daughter) Polly Latsha deceased who was intermarried with Daniel Kiehl, share and share alike (that is my said three grand children are to have one sixth part of my estate). And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said son Adam Latsha, and my friend Peter Shott to be my executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I Frederick Latsha Sr. widower the Testator, have to this my will, written on this sheet of paper, set my hand and seal this eighth day of June A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy five.
