Will of John W. Malick, dec'd The last Will and Testament of John W. Malick of Lower Augusta Township Northumberland County. In the name of God I John W. Malick considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound of sound [sic] mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same so make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following (That is to say) First, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Susan Malick all my personal property with all money due me and grain that is threshed And in the ground to be yoused [sic] in raising my Children And also to pay my debts. And I also request my wife Susan Malick to Farm on the said farm where I now live another year and the Children to stay with you and assist you all they can. And to stay with their Mother till they are eighteen years old And the Mother to Cloth [sic] them And also to send them to School. But if she should see fit to hire them out she may do so. She is to farm the said farm the same as I did and have the same privilege on said farm if she can raise money enough money [sic] to buy a house and let she can do so as long as she remains my widow. But if she should get married the [sic] what is left should be equally divided among my Children. I hereby appoint my beloved Wife Susan Malick Sole Executrix of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal the eight [sic] day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and sixty-one. John W. Malick SEAL Signed sealed published by the above named John W. Malick to be his last Will and testament in the presence of us, at his request And in his presence have Subscribed our names as Witnesses thereunto David Hauk Joseph Arnold Samuel Lantz, Sr. Northumberland County: SS Registers Office March 30th 1861 Then Personally appeared David Hauk Joseph Arnold and Samuel Lantz the subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing last Will and testament of John W. Malick deceased and on there Solemn Oath did say that they were present did see & heard John W. Malick of Lower Augusta township Northumberland County Pa dec'd testator therein named seal publish & declare the same as and for his last will and Testament at the doing thereof he was of sound mind memory & understand to the best of their knowledge & belief. Sworn & Subscribed before me the David Hauk day & year aforesaid Joseph Arnold J. B. Masser Reg'r Samuel Lantz, Sr. Be it Remembered that on the 30th of March 1861 was present & appeared the last Will and Testament of John W. Malick deceased of which this is a true copy and that Letters of Testamentary with the Copy of the will annexed were granted to Susan Malick, Executrix in Said Will Annexed. Witness my hand H.
