John Masser Will, 1813, Northumberland County I John Masser of Upper Mahanoy Township in the County of Northumberland and the State of Pennsylvania storekeeper, tho reduced to a low state of Bodily strengt yet being of sound mind memory and understanding and considering the uncertainty of this transitory life, have thought fit to make this my last will and Testament in manner following, that is to say first I racommend my soul into the hands of God and my God I Recommend to the earth and respecting the worldly estate and effect wherewith it has pleased god to please me I dispose of them in the following manner, that is to say it is my will, that my just debts and funneral expences be paid by my Executors herein after named as soon after my decease as conveniently maybe and that as soon as Possible a true Invantory and appraisement maybe taken of all my moveables and effect outstanding and further personal property which said effects and property are to be left in the hands of my beloved wife Margareth as long she remains my widow in case my said widow Dose Marrie again she is to receve no more than the thirth parte of the moveable effects and in case my said wife DOse not marry again then my whole estate real and personal shal be sold by my said Executors except the house and Lot not as long she wants to Life in and it is my will that after the Deceas of my widow my property shall be equally Divided Between my six children, Sara, Margratha, Polly, Fertinant, John, and Jacob sheare and sheare alike, and I do herewith authorise my executors to sell my real estate either by private or public sale, as they may thing proper and make good conveyances for the same, and I hereby bequeath all my estate and the remainder thereof unto my said six children Sara, Margratha, Polly, Fertinant, John and Jacob, and unto their heris and assigns forever, and I do hereby nominate my beloved wife Margareth and my Beloved Broder Henry Masser and my beloved friend Jacob Shmit Executors of this, my last will and Testament In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty fifth day of Fabuary in the year of our lord one thousand eighth hundred and thirteen.
