I the Subscriber Daniel Maurer of Upper Mahanoy township Northumberland County and State of Pennsylvania although in perfect health, yet considering that it is appointed ofr all men to die, and that it is uncertain when the voice of God calls us from this world do hereby declare this instrument of writing, while I have yet my reason, sense and memory, to be my last will and Testament, to wit first, I commit my immortal soul into the hands of my God and my body to the ground, which is to be buried by my herein named Executors, in a Christian like manner al the best by them, and what respects my worldly estate and goods which consists in real and personal property, it is my will that after my decease, all be sold by public vendue by my Executors, and if it should happen that honest claims can be made against my estate, such claims shall be paid first, and all the rest of the money, that shall remain, shall be equally divided among my legal heirs. And lastly I do appoint my sons Jacob, John and Daniel to be my Executors of this my last Will and Testament, In confirmation fo which I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 4th day of May One thousand eight hundred and thirty one 1831.
