Will of Catharine McDonnell, deceased In the name of God. Amen I Mrs. Catharine McDonnell of the village of Locust Gap, in the County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania daughter of Francis and Ann McCarthy and wife of John McDonnell being of Sound mind and diposing memory do make and declare this to be my last will and testament in manner following that is to say, I order that all my Just debts, funeral expenses and charges of proving this my will, be in the first place fully paid and satisfied: and after payment thereof, and every part thereof, I give and bequeath to my husband John McDonnell for during his natural life or so long as he shall remain unmarried all the residue and remainder of my goods chattels debts, ready money, effects and other my estate whatsoever and wheresoever both real and personal, and immediately after the death or marriage of my said husband John McDonnell, I give and bequeath all my estate or so much thereof as shall remain unexpended share and share alike to each of my five (5) children, Peter A., Francis J., Mary V., Agnes M and Katie T., their heirs or assigns, and I do hereby nominate and appoint my Husband Jno McDonnell of Locust Gap, Pa and Jas A. McCarthy of Locust Gap, Pa Executors of this my will, hereby revoking and making void all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this only to be my last will and testament. In witness hereof, I, the said testator Mrs. Catharine McDonnell have to this my last Will and testament set my hand and Seal the 9th day of January One thousand eight hundred and ninety nine (1899) Catharine McDonnell (X her mark) Witness to mark M.A. McCarty Signed Sealed published and declared by the said testator Mrs. Catharine McDonnell as and for her last Will and testament in the presence of us, who in per prescense and at her request have subscribed our name as Witness thereto. Be it Remembered That on this 18th day of February A.D. 1899, before me The Register for the Probate of Wills and granting the Letters of Administration in and for said County, personally appeared Frank J Pepper and James A McCarty the subscribing witnesses to the forgoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Catharine McDonnell late of the Township of Mount Carmel County and State aforesaid, deceased, who being duly sworn according to law do declare and say that they were personally present at the execution of the same and saw and heard the testatrix therein named, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the same as and for her last Will and Testament, and that at the time of so doing She was of sound, disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.
