Raker of Little Mahanoy Township Northumberland County and State of Pennsylvania, being sick of body, but of sound mind, memory, and understanding, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. First--I direct that my body be decently interred in the grave yard, attached to the Lutheran Church, near the house of C. H. Raker. As to such estate as it had pleased God to intrust me with I dispose of the same as follows, viz: Item 1st, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Catherine, all my property, consisting of real, and personal, during her natural life. Item 2nd, I order that after the death of my widow all the property belonging to my estate shall be sold at public sale by my executors hereinafter named, and after the payment of my just debts, what there remains shall be equally divided among my twelve children. Item 3rd, And lastly I hereby constitute Isaac and Galen Executors of this my last will and testament also authorizing them to give deed or deeds for my real estate when sold, the same as I would if living. In witness whereof I, William D. Raker, the Testator, have to this my will written on half a sheet of Legal cap paper, set my hand and seal, this Eleventh day of February A.D. one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five. Bucher, Register for the Probate of Wills and granting of Letters of Administration in and for said County, personally appeared C. H. Raker and J. R. Hilbush the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of William D. Raker late of the Township of Little Mahanoy County and State aforesaid, deceased, who being duly sworn according to law did declare and say that they were personally present at the execution of the same and saw and heard the Testator therein named sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the same as and for his last Will and Testament, and that at the time of so doing he was of sound, disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief. Raker do swear that as executors of the foregoing last Will and Testament of William D. Raker deceased we will well and truly administer the goods and chattles, rights and credits of said deceased, agreeably to law, and that we will comply with the provisions of the law relating to collateral inheritances.
