In the name of God Amen: I Joseph Savidge, Upper Augusta Township, County of Northumberland and State of Pennsylvania being of sound and disposing mind and memory and being desirous of settling my worldly affairs and directing how my worldly estate should be disposed of after my decease hereby direct as follows to wit: First, I desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be first fully paid and satisfied-- Second, My wife to have the income of my property so long as she may live, not to have the right to sell any property unless for payment of debts. Third, After the Death of me and my wife then the House and Lot of ground which I purchased from Simon Renn & wife to be the property of my Daughter Sarah Jane. In case of her death the said property to be equally divided among the other heirs. Fourth, TO my Son Martin Luther Savidge I give and bequeath the sum of Twenty five Dollars which shall be his full share of my estate. Fifth, To my Grand Son William B. Savidge I give the sum of One hundred Dollars provided he remains with my family until he is old enough to go to a trade. This amount of money the said William B. Savidge is not to receive until he is twenty one years of age. All the rest and residue of my estate I direct shall be equally divided among my children George V., John B., Amelia A. and Mary E. share and share alike. My Executor to make Deed to my son Edward for Lot of ground at the rate of Two hundred Dollars which shall be a part of his share of my estate. I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my Daughter Sarah Jane to be sole executrix of this my last will and testament. Joseph Savidge (seal) The above Instrument written was at the time thereof declared by the Testator as his last will and testament and he then acknowledged to each of us that he had subscribed to same and we at his request sign our names hereto as attesting witnesses. Isaac Bloom Wellington Hummel * * * * * County of Northumberland, ss: I, Sarah Jane Savidge, do swear that as executrix of the foregoing last Will and Testament of Joseph Savidge deceased I will well and truly administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits of said deceased, agreeably to law, and that I will comply with the provisions of the law relating to collateral inheritances.
