Will dated June 2, 1788; proved Aug. 18, 1788. " 1st I recommend my soul into the hands of God who gave it and my body that it be buried in a Christian like and decent manner according to the direction of my herein mentioned Executors. 2nd I give and bequest unto my beloved wife Maria Eva the free rent of one of my houses (which she shall choose) during the time of her natural life, and also all the ready money which I have at the time of my decease, with this promise that she shall not want during the time of her natural life shall be equally divided among all of my children share and share alike after her decease, further I bequeath unto her yearly and every year during the time of her natural life 15# of beaf and 100# of Pork as also 2 rows of Apple trees length ways, of which rows she shall have the choice every year, __ Kitchen ufrniture as much as she shall want from time to time, the choice of a bed together with all the linen, I likewise give her a horse for her use & a cown, which shall be fed by him for whom I bequeath my dwelling place, further I bequeath her yearly 4# of good wool 5 yards of flaxen and 5 yards of tow linen, which articles shall be given to her, by him to whom I bequeath my Plantation, further she shall have a right to garden in order to plant there in what and as much as she pleases, and the same share give unto her yearly the quantity of 15 bushels of good wheat. 3rd I give and bequeath unto my son John Adam and to his heirs assigns £5 of good money as his perogative as oldest son, also that piece of land on which he has began to work according to the line which I made with him in my life time and then the bond which he gave to me for the said land shall be null and void, also the one mosiely___saw mill of which he shall now (the one moeiely) have the property. 4th I give and bequest unto my son John Nicholas and his heirs the sum of £50 good money of Pennsylvania - together with a mare, from which sum shall be deducted what I have against ___been as my hand and ___ with my own hand. 5th I give and bequest unto my son John Michael and to his heirs and assigns the piece of ___ land whereupon I now live, as also 2 horses and given there to, further I give him a plough and ___ a wind mill together with a cow and heifer, & consideratino of this my said John son, Grantors. 6th I give and bequest unto my son Andreus and his heirs the sum of £50 good and lawful money of Pennsylvania; together with a horse and one cow, as cits the Smith Tools. 7th I give and bequest my son John George with his heirs and assigns 300 acres of land adjoining the land of Conrad Fisher, together with his cows and a (commonly called the Colt Mare) and 3-year-old Colt. 8th I give & bequest unto the children of my deceased Daughter, Catherine the sum of £50 good money, which shall be equally distributed among them but if they all should die underage the same shall be divided and fall back again to all my children share and share alike. 9th I give and bequest unto my daughter Elizabeth and to her heris and Representatives, the sum of £80 good and lawful money on the time herein after mentioned. 10th I give and bequest unto my daughter Magdalina and her Representatives the sum of £80 good and lawful money on the time herein after mentioned. 11th I give and bequest unto my granddaughter Eva, daughter of my son John Nicholus, the sum of £30 good and lawful money when she shall arrive at her age, but if she should die before she should have her age this same share be equally divided among all my children or their representatives. 12th It is my will and testament that my son Michael shall pay two years after my decease unto my Grantors, for the use of my daughter, Elizabeth as the first payment of the above mentioned £250, the sum of £40 of good money and the sum of £40 the year following for the use of my daughter Madelena and so on yearly until they have their full share of their legacy. 13th It is my will that all of my moveable goods exclusive of what is herefore bequested shall be equally divided among my children except the Children of my deceased caughter Catherina are disbarred from this last article. 14th I appoint my beloved wife Maria and my two sons John Michael and Andreas executers of this my last will and Testament, revoking all other wills of me hereafter made to they in writing or verbal...
