I Michael Sheese of the Borough of Shamokin County of Northumberland and state of Pennsylvania, miner, being sick and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding (praised be God for it) considering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time thereof and to the end I may be the better prepared to leave this world whenever it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and declare this my last will and testament in manner following (that is to say) first and principally I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my creator and secondly I order that all my just debts funeral expenses and charges of proving this my last will be in the first place fully paid and satisfied and after payment thereof and every part thereof I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Anna Maria all the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattels debts ready money effects and other my estate whatsoever and wheresoever both real and personal I give and bequeath the same and every part and parcel thereof unto the said my beloved wife Anna Maria to have and to hold and enjoy the same so long as she shall remain my widow. And in case oft he death or marriage of the said my beloved wife Anna Maria then and in such case all my estate shall be equally divided among my three children viz Catharine Elizabeth, George Frederick and Friederica Matilda. And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint William K. Erdman of the Borough of Shamokin County of Northumberland and state of Pennsylvania executor of this my will hereby revoking and making void all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made and declare this only to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I the said Michael Sheese have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal the fifth day of January A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy seven.
