Anna Maria Snyder was born 25 November 1756 in the Tulpehocken Settlement of Bethel Township, Berks County, Pennyslvania. She died 23 December 1827 in Upper Mahanoy Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Jacob and Sarah (Balt) Bordner/Bortner. Anna Maria was the widow of Johann Nicolaus Schneider, (Revolutionary Soldier- Captain Thomas Koppenhower's Company, Colonel Timothy Green's Battalion of men from the Bethel area of Berks and Lebanon Counties, Pennsylvania), who was born 10 December 1749 in Altalaha/Rehrersburg, Tulpehocken Settlement, Bethel Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania and died 28 October 1821 in Upper Mahanoy Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of George Daniel Schneider and his wife, Maria Magdalena Stupp. Nicholas and Anna Maria are buried at Himmel’s church. Their children were: Maria Magthalina (m. Andreas Schaeffer); George (m. Catherine Wagner): Anna Catherine (m. Johan George Erdman); Johannes, Maria Margaretha (m. Johannes Schaeffer); Maria Christina (m. Andreas Geist); Maria Barbara (m. Michael Wagner); Johann Peter (m. Gertrude Maurer); Abraham (m. Susanna Schweitzer); Johann Nicholas; and Johan Jacob (m. Magdalena Erdman). D. 1828, Letters of Administration in due and common form of law were granted to Jacob Snyder, of Northumberland County, upon the estate of Ann Maria Snyder, late of Upper Mahanay Township, deceased, who entered into Bond with Abraham Hoch and Michael Druckmiller, all of Upper Mahanoy township aforesaid, in the sum of two hundred dollars.
