My Dear Jen,



I received your card this morning telling of your great loss and I cannot 

tell you how sorry I am that it happened just now

for this is the time of year that always brings our sorrows back.  Al joins 

with me in sincere sympathy for you and your

brothers.  I will write again next week.  I wish I could have been near to 

have spent part of that sorrowful time with you.



My dear your loss is your father's gain for he was like my dear one he could 

not get well and now we know they are at rest.

I wish I could put in writing what I feel for you but I am such a poor 

letter writer that I will have to let you think all I

haven't said.
