BE IT KNOWN that the subscribers having assembled themselves together for the 

purpose of conducting a social and beneficial association and being desirous of 

becoming incorporated agreeably to the Act of the General Assembly of the 

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, entitled " An Act to provide for the incorporation 

and Regulation of certain Corporations" approved the twenty-ninth day of April, 

A.D. 1874, and its supplements do hereby declare set forth and certify that the 

following are the purposes, objects, articles, and conditions of their said 

Association for and upon which they desire to be incorporated:



1.The name of the corporation shall be called the "Ruthenian Store Company".



2.Said corporation is formed for the purpose of conducting and carrying on a 

general retail merchantile store for the buying and selling of dry goods, 

groceries, provisions, general household goods, wearing apparel, mining tools, 

and supplies, at retail.



3.The business of the said corporation is to be transacted in Shamokin, PA.



4.The corporation is to exist for the term of one hundred years.



5.The names and residences of the subscribees and the number of shares 

subscribed by each are as follows:



George Dziobko, Excelsior, PA, twenty

Dennis Kulanda, Shamokin, PA, twenty

Isadore Wyshowsky, Shamokin, PA, twenty

Simon Horoshak, Shamokin, PA, twenty

Nicefor Habora, Excelsior, PA, twenty





6.The number of directors of said corporation is fixed at five (5) and the names 

and residences of the directors who are chosen directors for the first year are 

as follows:



George Dziobko, Excelsior, PA 

Dennis Kulanda, Shamokin, PA 

Isadore Wyshowsky, Shamokin, PA

Simon Horoshak, Shamokin, PA

Nicefor Habora, Excelsior



7.The amount of capital stock of the said corporation is $5,000 divided into One 

Hundred shares of the par value of $50.00, being ten percentum of the capital 

stock, has been paid in cash to the Treasurer of the said corporation, whose 

names and residences are:
