B. Parsons of Port Royal spent Christmas with Mrs. Parsons' sisters, the Misses Kipp and Mrs. W. C. Moore. Joseph A. Bruschart and Mis Annie Menghes of Harrisburg spent Christmas with Mr. Bruschart's wife and Miss Menghes' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Menghes, Mrs. Bruschart being a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Menghes. Mrs. Hulda Knight of Duncannon spent Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Page, and other relatives and friends here. Mrs. E. M. Sellers of Harrisburg was called here last week on account of the illness of her sister, Miss Rebecca Weimer. Jack Mars of New Kensington, who had been visiting in Pfouts Valley over the hilidays, and his daughter, Miss Dorothy Mars of Pfouts Valley spend last Thursday in Millerstown. Mrs. Harry Armstrong and son Hugh of Lancaster last week visited Mrs. Armstrongs mother, Mrs. Mary Allen. We were sorry to hear of the death of William Brookhart, 92, who fell dead at his home in Pfouts Valley. Mrs. John Oren and Ms. Catherine Freeland of Newport last Thursday visited their sister, Mrs. Rudolph Wingert at the home of her son O. D. Wingert. Mrs. Wingert altho advanced in years is enjoying good health and is pleased with her Millerstown home. REAPPOINTED DISTRICT DEPUTY GRAND MASTER Grand Master James B. Krause of the Grand Lodge of Masons of Pennsylvania, has reappointed William S. Snyder of Harrisburg, formerly of Millerstown, district deputy grand master. HORSE KICKED, MAY DIE A valuable horse, owned by C. A. Zong of Middle Ridge got loose in his stable and while wandering around was kicked by one of the horses with probable fatal effect. Mr. Zong has lost eleven horses by death during the last five years. AMONG THE SICK Mrs. Henrietta Wright has been critically ill at the home of her sister, Mrs. Jones of Mulberry Street, during the last week. D. B. Howanstine is improvaed of an attack of acute indigestion which prostrated him over Sunday. W. P. DeLancey who was critically ill of a complication of diseases at his home on North Fourth street is improving.
