BAILOR SR., 83, RR2 MILLERSTOWN MILLERSTOWN - Clarence Allen "Sonny" Bailor Sr., 83 of RR2 Millerstown, Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, entred into eternal rest at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2002, at his residence. He had been in failing health since Dec. 31, 2001. Mr. Bailor was born on Sept. 5, 1918 at Newport, Pa., the son of the late John L. and Bertha M. (Stahl) Bailor. On Aug. 31, 1941, he was united in marriage to the former Lettie M. Kerstetter with the late Rev. J. W. Yeisley, officiating. Mr. Bailor's death breaks a marital union of nearly 61 years. He was educated in the Juniata County rural schools. During the 1930s he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps. A farmer nearly his entire life, Mrs. Bailor had also worked initially for the former Pennsylvania Railroad at the Enola Yards; then, the Phoenix Steelmill at Steelton; followed by the Pennsylvania Dept. of Highways Juniata County Division. He dearly loved his wife, Lettie and his entire family, instilling strong family values to them. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and visiting with family and friends. His family recounts that he just loved working. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, RR2 Millerstown. He was also a member of the Liverpool Volunteer Fire Company and Ambulance League; the American Association of Retired Persons; and TREA-Senior Citizens League, a subsidiary of the retired enlisted Assoc., Alexandria, Vir. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, three sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence A. Jr. and Donna R. Bailor of RR1 Port Trevorton, Edgar J. and Sherry J. Bailor of RR2 Millerstown, Marvin K. and Gina L. Bailor of Liverpool; one daughter and son-in-law, Loretta M. and Raymond P. Sheaffer Sr. of RR1 Liverpool; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Romaine Bailor of RR1 New Bloomsfield; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Vivian and Ralph Shetter of RR1 Liverpool, Dora Treet of Dover and Vera Cramer of Shermandsdale; one aunt, Reba Shunk; three generations of nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Bailor of RR1 Mount Pleasant Mills and Shirley Bailor of RR4 Newport; and one brother-in-law, Richard Beam of RR5 Newport, Pa. Family and friends will gather for the viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Turkey Valley United Methodist Church, RR2 Millerstown. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chutrch by Pastor Salvatore E. Buonocore, officiating and the Rev. Paul Kauffman, assisting. Burial will be in St. John (Barners) Cemetery, RR1 Liverpool Should friends desire, memorial gifts may be made in loving memory of Mr. Bailor to a charity of the donors choosing. Pleasant Mills RR1 and Shirley Bailor of Newport RR4; one brother-in-law, Richard Beam, Newport RR5; one aunt, Reba Shunk; and three generations of nieces, nephews and many cousins. Mr. Bailor was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert and James Bailor; and three sisters, Ethel Mink, Helen Brandt and Gloria Beam. The funeral service was conducted Saturday from Turkey Valley United Methodist Church, Millerstown RR2, with Pastor Salvatore E. Buonocore officiating and Rev. Paul Kauffman assisting. Burial was in St. John [Barner's] Cemetery, Liverpool RR1. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements were made by The George P.
