BARNER Carl Francis Barner, 54, of Middleburg RD 3 died on Tuesday morning Nov. 3 in the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville where he had been a patient for the past two weeks. He was born May 28, 1917, at Millerstown RD 1, the son of the late M. Luther and Dora Joanna Markley Barner. He was educated in the schools of Perry County farming there. In 1932 he moved to the Selinsgrove-Middleburg area, where he continued farming and was also employed for sometime by Troutman's Meat Market, retiring several years ago due to ill health. Mr. Barner was a member of Barner's Lutheran Church, Liverpool RD 1. His only survivors are several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Markley Barner. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. from the Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills with his pastor, Rev. Theodore Lindquist Jr., officiating.
