BARNER, 55, LIVERPOOL RD, DIES Mrs. Florence E. Barner, wife of W. Bruce Barner, Liverpool, R. D., passed away at her home Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock following an illness which dated back to August of last year. Death was caused by complications. She was 55. Mrs. Barner, a daughter of the late Jacob and Etta Noll Grubb, was born March 17, 1900 in Liverpool, R. D. As a young girl she united with St. Matthew's church at that place and after her marriage became a faithful member of St. John's (Barner) Lutheran church. She was a member of the ladies aid of the church. On April 19, 1919, she was married to W. Bruce Barner who survives with the following children: Mrs. Oscar (Dorothy) Bair, Newport; Mrs. Bernell (Betty) Basom, Duncannon, R. D.; Joyce, at home; two sons, Rev. Kenneth Barner, pastor Evangelical United Brethren church, Daniels, Maryland, and Donald, at home; five grandchildren; one daughter preceded her in death; three sisters, Mrs. Warren Snyder and Mrs. Catherine Taylor, both of Liverpool, R. D.; Mrs. Franklin Kauffman, Millerstown, R. D. Services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m., from St. John's (Barner) church with Rev. J. D. Strail, pastor emeritus officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Garman Funeral Home, Mt.
