BARNER, 68 LIVERPOOL RD George B. Barner, 68, of Liverpool R. D., died Friday at 3:45 p.m. at his home. Mr. Barner suffered with a heart condition and was hospitalized two years ago as the result of this ailment. Mr. Barner was born March 14, 1890, at Liverpool R. D. He was the son of George L. and Mary Miller Barner. He served as a township road supervisor in Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, for 25 years and currently held the office of secretary-treasurer. He was employed for four years as a caretaker in the Liverpool area by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways. He was a member of the Millerstown Loyal Order of Moose Lodge. He was married to Emma Shaffer March 2, 1919. He is survived by his wife; a foster daughter and son, Nancy and Elwood Wertz, at home; and a sister, Mrs. H. C. Klinger, Liverpool. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church, Liverpool, R. D. Rev. M. O. Mickey, of Liverpool will officiate. Interment will be in Barner's Church Cemetery, Liverpool R. D. Viewing will be held Monday evening at Garman's Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills. Clipping
