BARNER Jacob L. Barner, of Millerstown, R. D. died at his home, Thursday, May 2nd. Death was due to a heart attack which he suffered Thursday evening. Mr. Barner, a farmer, was born May 28, 1897, in Liverpool. He is the son of Annie Long Barner of Liverpool, and the late Samuel E. Barner. He was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Pfoutz Valley. On August 10, 1920, Mr. Barner married Mary E. Zaring. He is survived by his wife; his mother, two sons, Samuel A. Barner of Mt. Pleasant Mills R. D., and Charles M. Barner of Millerstown; three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Shaffer, Mrs. George Byers and Mrs. Don Myers all of Millerstown R. D.; 11 grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Deckard, Mrs. Cloyd Shetterly and Mrs. Verna Earnest, all of Liverpool; and Mrs. Rufus Boyer, New Bloomfield. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in Barner's Lutheran Church, Liverpool R. D. Rev. M. O. Mickey, pastor of the Liverpool Evangelical United Breathren Church officiated. Interment was made in the church cemetery. Funeral services were in charge of Garman's Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills. Clipping [1957 written on clipping] (Tombstone has birth year as 1898)
