A native of Liverpool, Mr. Barner was a retired restaurant operator and cook. He was a member of Barner's Lutheran Church and Sunday School, Liverpool RD 1. His wife, Mrs. Ardella Weirick Barner, died in 1968. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Sherman Wise, Harrisburg; a sister, Mrs. Milton Gelnett, Liverpool RD 1, and two granddaughters. Private funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home at 606 N. Prince St., Liverpool, with his pastor, the Rev. Theodore Lindquist Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Barner's church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1. There will be no viewing. Clipping 11-7-1970
